Oklahoma natives and saviors of southern-infused hard rock, Anti-Mortem will release New Southern on April 15 in Europe, April 28 in the U.K., and April 29 in North America via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The album was produced, recorded, and mixed by the esteemed Bob Marlette (Lynrd Skynyrd, Rob Zombie).  But first, fans will have the opportunity to witness the band’s testosterone-fueled rock when they tour the U.S. supporting Texas Hippie Coalition (dates below)
Ghettoblaster caught up with Larado Romo (singer) to ask about the jaunt.   This is what he told us.
What kind of vehicle are you travelling in, and what are you doing to outfit it for maximum comfort?
A big Ryder van converted to a mini mobile home and as much foam as humanly possible
What is the planned playlist for your travels?
Our home demos we’re working on. Whatever music we can get our hands on and as many local band CDs as we can find. We love picking up the opening bands record or demos and seeing if it’s good.
Which of the cities that you’ll be visiting are you most excited about and why?
Atlanta, Georgia. On our last tour we got to headline the masquerade and there were over 100 people that stayed to watch and support even though the main acts had dropped off the tour. Very flattering were ready to go back and show ‘em some love.
Which of your destinations are you most anxious about?
I’m most anxious about New York. Not so much ‘cuz I’m excited to the see the city, but because I’m nervous about driving in it and I’m sure we’ll have a hell of a time trying to find parking.
What are the top three essential, must-have items that you take on the road with you?
I count my two guitarist as one thing. My bassist and my drummer. Can’t leave home without them. If I can add a fourth thing, Provo, our tour manager.
What will you miss most about home while you are away?
My family,  girlfriend, my dog and nice quiet places.
