While New York’s electronic, experimental alt-rap outfit No Surrender members have been scattered across states, music will eventually find its way above the sludge, muck & mire congealed within the confines of NY/NJ waterways. Grabbing hold of the reins here is Darius VanSluytman, also known around certain circles as Seraphim, and under the No Surrender banner shares “Glimmer” which features frequent collaborators Death By Piano and Dead Tooth.

While No Surrender hasn’t released a full-length album since 2011’s stunning Medicine Babies, “Glimmer” seems to pick up where they left off. Seraphim’s voice rides a wave of thick beats matched by Death Tooth guitarist Zach James’ fuzzy guitars. Death By Piano’s lead singer Kalen Lister also offers ominous backing vocals throughout.
