Once in a while, a band comes around that turns heads and makes you stand at attention. The Lava Dolls is such a band. Hailing from Hamilton, Ontario Canada, the trio is set to release a new Little Secrets E.P. this Friday, November 17th. The Little Secrets E.P., recorded with Steve Albini (Pixies, Breeders, Jesus Lizard, PJ Harvey), who is known for his no-nonsense approach, with a preferred method of always recording to analog. The five-song E.P. was recorded and mixed in less than 4 days, as per usual at Albini’s Electrical Audio Studio.
The band shares it new single “The Lucky Ones,” a full-frontal assault of hard-hitting rhythms, walls of guitar and glorious melodies. Albini captures the essence of the band, what more can you possibly ask for?
