Houston, Texas’ Lace have announced their debut full length, Human Condition, due out April 13 from Funeral Party Records. The band has shared the album’s blistering opener, “Amnesia,” which you can enjoy below.
“Amnesia” is a cut of vicious post-punk affected hardcore, exemplifying the more savage end of Human Condition‘s sonic spectrum. Across the album’s lean 25 minute run time, Lace crash between raw hardcore aggression and the more jaggedly bleak sounds of post-punk and noise rock. The band’s primal sound serves as a delivery system for vocalist Josh Borsarge’s throat-shredding missives on destructive human behavior, anxiety, and desperation. The result is a truly visceral album that refuses to be neatly categorized and is experienced as much as it’s heard.
Lace have also announced a run of U.S. tour dates that will see the band bringing their explosive live show to the East Coast and Midwest this spring. See full itinerary below.
