Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, podcast host (The Trap Set) and composer Joe Wong (Master of None, Russian Doll, Ugly Delicious, Awkwafina is Nora From Queens and more…) recently shared his first single “Dreams Wash Away .” Wong composed the score for Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward and comedian Duncan Trussell ’s recently released and widely-praised Netflix original series The Midnight Gospel, which also features the song in the finale.
Wong has released the Mary Timony (Ex Hex, Helium)-produced single “Nuclear Rainbow”. According to Wong, the single is about the type of heightened existential dread not unlike the kind running rampant at this particular moment in our history, with lyrics like:
Nuclear rainbow throws shadows of dread over the kingdom of comfort. Billions of people who haven’t died yet searching for permanent shelter.
