Philadelphia/NY/DC free jazz collective Irreversible Entanglements share new single ‘Lágrimas del Mar’, taken from their forthcoming album ‘Open The Gates’, which sees the quintet steamrolling through swinging Afro/Latin jazz stabs and deep spiritual transcendent poetry by Camae Ayewa aka Moor Mother who traverses deep, dark post-modern histories and geographies from across the Trans-Atlantic slave trade.

the group’s forthcoming third full-length album Open The Gates (International Anthem) was recorded in a single day at Rittenhouse Soundworks in Philadelphia, on January 5th, 2021, and is set for release on November 12, 2021. Across 73 minutes of music, stretched out more than ever (their first double-LP length album), the group supplement their raw, organic punk-jazz sound with first-time experiments with electronics and synthesizers.
