Los Angeles duo Golden Daze are back. The duo of Ben Schwab & Jacob Loeb have been hard at work since the release of their last album, 2019’s Simpatico, a gorgeous collection of intimate, 70’s steeped folk that felt like they’d found the sound they’d been chasing for years. When the pandemic struck, that momentum seemed to dissipate. 

“Nobody Else” serves as a reintroduction, a bridge between the magic of their last record and wherever they choose to go next. Recorded & produced at their Los Angeles home studio, the song is classic Golden Daze, earthy acoustic guitars and intertwining guitar leads backing the hushed harmony of Schwab and Loeb’s voices. 

On the single, they explain “The idea of “home” and whether we understand it as a person or place, as something to seek out or something to return to, is kind of at the heart of “Nobody Else” and is maybe the central theme to all the new material we’ve been working on.”
