Erin Durant’s sophomore album Islands is slated to be released via Keeled Scales on June 28^th.  Today, the singer/songwriter shared the opener to the highly anticipated album “Rising Sun.”  From its ethereal opening, Durant carefully eases the listener into a state of stillness.  As the five minute-plus track moves along, Durant’s lyrics paint a picture of an individual that grasps life is about not doing what is right.  The weight of this revelation demonstrates that it also leads to disappointment and the yearning to be held.
