Corey Harper made a name for himself as the go-to crowd-pleasing opener for artists like Justin Bieber, Niall Horan, Julia Michaels and Noah Kahan. After winning over hoards of new fans, he began to slowly release EPs and singles, which has amassed over 60M streams and earned him praise. It’s been two years since Harper’s last release, taking time to center himself and evolve his songwriting. He returns with his vividly written new single “Pink Razor” and the announcement that he’s signed with Range Music / Virgin.
“Pink Razor,” out now, was produced by Alex Salabian (Harry Styles, Young The Giant, Head and The Heart). Harper explains of the track: “There are certain items of significance, items that hold memories, that our minds have a way of latching onto. Maybe it’s a sweatshirt that you just don’t have the heart to wash. Maybe it’s a crumpled-up photo booth strip that you keep promising yourself you’ll throw away tomorrow. We can go about our day forgetting those items exist, but when you accidentally see it you’re taken right back to those moments. This song is about memories washing over you and the water slide of emotions that follow, as you reminisce and question how and why it all fell apart in the first place.”
