Last month Brown Calvin shared the first single from his debut LP d i m e n s i o n // p e r s p e c t i v e (AKP Recordings) set for release on August 26, 2022. Today, he shares the next single, “P e r s p e c t i v e 3,” as “P e r s p e c t i v e 4 4” has been drawing quite an enthusiastic response.

d i m e n s i o n / / p e r s p e c t i v e embodies Burgos’ drive to find new ways to collaborate with himself and “to retain the spontaneous, improvisational and conversational nature that collaborating with other musicians can provide.” 

In pulling that off, Burgos made some space for collaborating beyond the music itself. He cites his conversations with the visual artist Eatcho –– who created the interdimensional / intraperspectival album art –– as crucial to the work as a whole. “We talked a lot about creation itself,” he says. And it sounds like it.
