Coming out of the only borough in NYC attached to the mainland, Bronx Slang shares “Harlem,” the first single off The Science Of Survival, the duo’s third full-length release scheduled to drop on February 13, 2025. For the new release, scheduled to drop early next year, Miggs and Jerry Beeks have teamed with Endemic Emerald to produce the album.
Of the track, Jerry Beeks notes, “Harlem is about a young black uptown cat and a Puerto Rican beauty who fell hard for each other one night on the boulevard. Despite efforts from their respective families to keep them apart based on their varying cultures, they carried on with their relationship, refusing to succumb to any oppositional way of thinking, which made the bond between them grow stronger.”
The new release takes a different approach this time around with Beeks handling vocals with Miggs stepping back. Jerry Beeks says, “Miggs chose to step away from the mic and let me handle the chores on this one. But we’re definitely still Bronx Slang. We’ve been friends for a long time so whatever he decides to do going forward, it’s all good.” The new album was side-stepped with delays and the intention was to drop a new album this year. Beeks adds, “ We were pushing really hard to put it out before the end of the year but unfortunately we can’t release it until early 25. Apologies to all our supporters but our new banger soon come!”
