Arroyo Low, the new solo project of L.A.-based musician and producer Dane Sandborg (IRONTOM, Fox Trails), has released another single from his upcoming debut album 2020, entitled “Moments.” 2020 will arrive July 29 via Bodan Kuma. Sandborg is working with visual artist Michael Rollins on all aspects of the 2020 release, including a series of NFT’s which will premiere at a gallery-hosted album release show, July 30 at Vatom Inc HQ (543 Broadway St.) in Venice, CA. Arroyo Low will also be offering free collectible NFTs through Vatom night of the show. The show is free with RSVP. Doors at 7, music starting at 9. More details below.
Discussing the track, Sandborg stated, “‘This was the first song I started experimenting recording to tape with. Dylan Grombacher and I came up with a 5/4 groove and decided to record it! Later on my own I added saxophone, guitar, percussion, and other layers. This song makes me feel like I’m cruising in northern California. Mixed and mastered by Alex Siegel.”
For Arroyo Low’s 2020 album release event, Arroyo Low will create and mint (12) 1/1 NFT collectibles for each song. The collectibles will come with a downloadable folder, which wll include an original remix of the corresponding song file and HD music video file. Collectors will also receive a physical Infinite Objects display shipped to them after the event. The body of work will consist of 12 unique pieces that stand on their own as a body of artwork. The imagery will be consistent with the rest of Arroyo Low’s visual presence, and all 3D landscapes are based off of each song’s symbol like the music videos/visualizers. Collectors and holders of the work will own a piece of the Arroyo Low journey in both the physical and digital spaces. This means that holders will have first access to Arroyo Low releases, and have exclusive access to live shows and private streaming events.
