Album Stream | The Saxophones ‘No Time For Poetry’

Leonard Cohen. The west-coast duo The Saxophones finds inspiration in mid-period Leonard Cohen and aren’t ashamed to admit it. That in of itself should tell you much regarding the band, finding solace within a style that suits it just fine. The husband-and-wife couple of Alexi Erenkov (vocals, guitar, woodwinds, synth) and Alison Alderdice (vocals, drums) have been releasing albums together since the better part of 2018 and has just released its new No Time For Poetry (Full Time Hobby). The 10-song album is rife with songs that strike more than just one chord, as it harks back to a Twin Peaks-era with subdued song structures and movements filled with eloquence.
