Dallas-based noise-rockers Stress Palace is a band built on tension, frustration, and sadness. They started writing songs in mid-2018 and just as they were preparing to perform live, the band was sidelined by the pandemic. During this time, the band’s members faced life-changing events, leading to the departure of a founding member, and the heartbreak and chaos in their lives and surroundings emerged in a new sound that illuminated their vicious misery.
On its self-titled debut album Stress Palace breaks down the psyche of a past President, joins an apocalyptic cult, announces its disdain for American retail, and explores male insecurity. Equal parts noise, hardcore, and post-punk, Stress Palace is frustrated but ready to talk it through, as loudly as possible.
Their self-titled LP sees physical and digital release via The Ghost Is Clear Records on March 3, with a release show following on March 4 in Dallas, Texas, with Temptress. Order the record here.
