New York City punk stalwart Stanley first released its critically acclaimed debut Clobbered in 1995 on the now-defunct Another Planet Records, a subsidiary of Profile. The band, comprised of Dave Kramer (bass), Ranges’ Mark Levy (drums, and Phil Doucet (guitar, vocals), toured the country incessantly throughout the band’s short-lived history. The band followed up the release with its sophomore effort, The Decorator, which was never released by the band’s label. Clobbered gives listeners a good look at what Stanley created over 25 years ago and still showcases its relevant potency all these years later.
