Album Stream | Family Medicine, ‘Very Nice and Good’

St. Louis post-hardcore band Family Medicine releases its Very Nice and Good (Little Elephant/Friend Club).

The album is a sonic journey that combines emo and post-hardcore elements with dynamic energy and heartfelt lyricism. Recorded at Red Pill Studios and mixed/mastered by Adam Cichocki, this release captures the band’s growth and commitment to their craft, drawing inspiration from bands like Bear vs Shark, Hey Mercedes, and Small Brown Bike and appealing to fans of more recent bands like Drug Church, Miltarie Gun, Drought, Spite House, and Touche Amore.

With a rich history of collaboration and a dedication to their sound, Family Medicine’s new album promises to be a standout release in 2026, showcasing their evolution and passion for connecting with listeners through powerful performances.

“I think the songs we’ve written reflect different stages in our lives,” says bassist Chris Garner. “I think that’s why it’s taken so long for this record to come out. It’s brutally honest. Chaotic. Untethered to conventionality. We pinned a letter of sorts. Written after finding hope in a pint glass of port wine. I can say that it’s genuinely ‘US.’ Our desire for the music to not simply occupy silence, but to give it meaning. This record is dedicated to the memory of Jim Coleman Howes. JCH FOREVER”
