Weird Nightmare (Alex Edkins ex-Metz singer/guitarist) returns with a hook-heavy, power-pop rush on its Hoopla LP (Sub Pop/Dine Alone). Produced by Jim Eno of Spoon, the album pairs jangling guitars and big barre chords with punchy, melodic urgency not unlike Dinosaur Jr, Replacements, and Elvis Costello. 

Alex Edkins: “The band and I had a blast making this video. It was a nod to the Elvis Costello and the Attractions “Pump it Up” video and some early footage of the Buzzcocks on cable access TV.”
