In support of their recently released album Mariachi El Bronx IV (ATO), Los Angeles’ Mariachi El Bronx, today announces its West Coast “Cinco De Mayo Tour” with dates kicking off May 1 in Phoenix and concluding May 10 in Seattle. Along the way, the band will make stops in San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle, among other markets. All dates – including a tour in Australia – are listed below. Tickets are on-sale Friday, February 27 at 9am PT and will be available here.
“Cinco de Mayo has become sacred to Mariachi El Bronx, songwriter and lead vocalist Matt Caughthran says. “What started as a small run of rowdy hometown shows—with friends, family, and fans all coming together to drink and dance—has become a chaotic yearly tradition. This year, armed with a brand-new album, we’re expanding Cinco de Mayo to include some places El Bronx hasn’t played in ages. Phoenix, Tucson, Portland, and Seattle are all invited to the party. We’ll be playing new songs, old songs, classic hits, and even some deep cuts we’ve never played live before. It’s going to be a fucking blast, and I can’t wait.”
The alter ego of punk rock mainstays The Bronx, Mariachi El Bronx channels the rich Hispanic music and culture of their Los Angeles roots across 12 songs that follow gamblers, aging playboys, warriors, and lovers navigating modern life.
