First Draft Shares Striking “Agnostalgic”

Post-rock/post-hardcore band First Draft illustrate their track “Agnostalgic” with a beautifully contrasting video. Depth, intensity and hope enhance this bold song taken from their new album ‘An Instant Before The Promise Of Dawn’, released early October on Vlad.

French duo First Draft navigate between technique and emotion as they constantly pursue new sound possibilities. New video “Agnostalgic” explores the limbo of memory through the prism of fascism, the need to remember in order to face the rise of extremists. Pure emotion rubs shoulders with heavy tones in this intimate, raw and introspective soundscape borrowing from post-metal, post-hardcore and post-rock. “Agnostalgic” was shot and directed by Yannis Pachaud and Julien Poulain.

Lying somewhere between post-rock and post-hardcore, First Draft’s new album ‘An Instant Before the Promise of Dawn’ reflects the band’s common thoughts on society. Based on a damning observation, they urge us to unite and fight. It was recorded and mixed by Benoît Roux at Drudenhaus Studio in Issé, France, and mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox in Helsinki, Finland. Artwork by Lohengrin Papadato. Watch video for “Paralysis Kingdom” here
