Cali Bellow shares the quirky “LFG!!!!! (i just died),” the second preview from her forthcoming album  Ciao Bella, due out October 25 via Fiadh Productions. The latest track from  Agriculture singer/bassist Leah B. Levinson’s solo project captures another angle of her vivid fantasy concept album, modeled after 3D adventure games. As one of the clearest distillations of the hybridized sounds she explores throughout the category-effacing album, Levinson draws heavily from some of the earliest music she fell in love with, such as …And Out Come the Wolves-era Rancid and early 2000s pop like NSYNC, Spice Girls, and Aqua. She also looked to the early K-pop band H.O.T. (specifically their song “Full of Happiness”) for inspiration on blending these influences into a cohesive and exhilarating track that reflects on the grandeur of life and the looming shadow of death.

Expanding on a personal moment that informed the song’s lyrics, Levinson shares: “Lyrically, the second verse was inspired by a trip to Long Beach with some friends to celebrate my partner’s birthday. I stood on a tall cliff overlooking the ocean with my longtime friend Pluto Bell. We barely spoke, but I quickly became overwhelmed with emotion and began to cry, which caused them to start crying too. The vastness of the ocean, the closeness of my friend, and my awareness of my own mortality and smallness in the grand scheme of things all hit me at once.” 

Levinson shares “LFG!!!!! (i just died)” while touring across the EU/UK in the rising ecstatic black metal band Agriculture. It is released alongside a charming, hand-drawn animated loop visualizer by Connor Donahue, inspired by the album’s deep ties to video games.
