NYC’s Rebelmatic Shares “Help,” Announces Forthcoming Album

Rebelmatic is a genre-defying New York City band blending hardcore punk, funk, and soul with socially conscious lyrics and explosive energy. Led by Creature on vocals, with Alkatraz on guitar, Karnage on bass, and Ramsey Jones on drums, their sound is often described as “James Brown in a mosh pit.”

Known for their electrifying performances, Rebelmatic has shared the stage with a diverse array of iconic artists, including GZA, Erykah Badu, Angelo Moore of Fishbone, HR of Bad Brains, Eugene Hutz of Gogol Bordello, DMC of Run-DMC, Weedeater, Zulu, Soul Glo, the Detroit proto-punk band Death, and The LOX, solidifying their presence as a force in the underground music scene and beyond.

Rebelmatic’s second single, “Help,” from their highly anticipated album Black Hole Eats The Tornado on Say-10 Records, is a powerful and emotive track that could seamlessly fit on the soundtrack of a Jordan Peele horror film like Get Out. Blending driving energy with raw emotion, the song evokes the intensity of a legendary Friday the 13th film, creating a gripping and unforgettable experience.

Creech described “Help” as a groovy, moving song filled with heartfelt emotions, exploring the themes of love, loss, the death of innocence, and the journey of self-determination.

Look for the song on digital streaming platforms on September 20.
