Common & Pete Rock Share “Fortunate”

Coming off a release week where their album debuted at #3 on the Rap Album charts, Common and Pete Rock released a new video for their song “Fortunate.” The short film features Common in his hometown of Chicago, paying homage to the experiences and people in his life he is fortunate to have. For the video, he returned to The Deck (87th Street) and The Foundation and communed with the guys he grew up with, marking an extra special moment for Common. The short film was directed by Marleaux Desire and ILLIMITEWORD, who have beautifully used their creativity to bring different songs from the album to life.

“Fortunate” is a single from Common & Pete’s recently released first full-length collaboration, The Auditorium, Vol. 1 via Loma Vista Recordings. Created by the perfect pairing of one of hip-hop’s most evocative emcees (Common), with one of its most heralded producers (Pete Rock), The Auditorium, Vol. 1 is set to make its mark on Hip Hop history. The album is the past, present, and future happening all at once and in any decade, guaranteed to be an absolute banger.

On the heels of their album release, Common and Pete Rock announced that they will be hitting the road for The Auditorium Tour later this year. The 18-stop tour will kick off on August 28 in Del Mar, California and is set to make stops in Los Angeles, CA, Dallas, TX, Nashville, TN, Boston, MA, and more, before wrapping in New York City for a three night residency at the Blue Note Jazz Club from September 23-25.
