Monobloc Envy Stability On “Where Is My Garden”

New York City’s Monobloc is excited to share its second single, “Where Is My Garden.” Today’s anthemic track documents the internal back-and-forth between materialistic tendencies and finding satisfaction with what you have, dilemma artists and musicians tend to know best. Paired with a monochrome video self-directed by the band, replete with wiry, insistent guitar work and a rousing chorus, the song marks the arrival of a new band with a significant future.

Discussing the themes of the track, lead vocalist Timothy Waldron says, “Attached to the main riff of the song was this chorus I really wanted to use but could never find a place where it made sense. “Where is my garden, where are my friends? Will it always feel like the end?” It was a great wide theme – a bit Springsteen and better yet, the closest I could legally get to saying “Where are your friends tonight?”

On composing the song, bassist Michael Silvergrade says, “I wrote the guitar riff years ago, long before Monobloc was even a thing. We’ve never had more iterations of a single song idea, it just never came together. Yet, I persevered, and after we wrote the first couple of Monobloc tracks, we dug up the old demo.”

Monobloc has a stacked year ahead of them. The five-piece shared their first single “I’m Just Trying To Love You” earlier this year, inciting wide interest in the group for their ability to blend rich soundscapes with relatable, honest lyricism. More music is soon to be released as Monobloc continues to hone in on their electric live shows, DIY attitude, and artistic capabilities.

With a thriving live reputation across the US, the band is set to perform at offbeat New York venue  Pete’s Candy Store next month, which is likely to be the smallest show in New York City that they’ll play this year. They’ll then head overseas for their highly anticipated London debut at the iconic Sebright Arms before playing festivals like All Points East and Rock En Seine. Later this year, they will make appearances at Iceland Airwaves and Corona Capital. See below for a complete list of dates and for more information, visit monobloc.online
