Remo Drive Shares “Mercy,” Announce New Album

Following a six-year run of pristine emo-influenced rock ‘n’ roll records, today Remo Drive announced their fourth studio album Mercy (Epitaph) due for release on February 23rd.  Featuring brothers Erik  (vocals, guitar) and Stephen Paulson (bass) and produced by Phil Ek (The Shins, Band Of Horses), it’s the band’s most vulnerable and lyric-focused offering to date.

The band is also sharing the album’s title track, intricately arranged with crisp vocals and swells of guitar. Inspired by a Nick Cave interview on the idea of mercy, the lyrics were written from a sarcastic POV and suggest to the listener that they should be completely unforgiving of anyone who ever does something that they don’t like. “This is (in my humble opinion) not good advice,” Erik warns.

Remo Drive is hitting the road for a US Spring headlining tour with support from Los Angeles rock band Wilt. It kicks off on March 8th and will traverse major cities such as Los Angeles, Nashville, NYC, Chicago and more before ending with a hometown show in Minneapolis on April 14th.
