Tiny Fireflies’ Kristine Capua’s is set to release the new album Other Cities this Friday. It’s the solo project Tiny Microphone that’s just released the new single “Stranger,” featuring Gary Olson of The Ladybug Transistor.
Capua began recording pop songs on a four-track machine in her Chicago apartment during the early 2000’s. Her debut album, Home, was released on cassette by now-defunct label, Best Kept Secret and then later re-released by Happy Prince in Japan. Although Tiny Microphone remained a bedroom pop project, Kristine kept herself busy musically by writing for and fronting acclaimed bands, Very Truly Yours and Tiny Fireflies, and contributing vocals for bands such as The Bilinda Butchers, The Very Most, and Gold Bears.
