Los Angeles, California-based singer-songwriter Nik Freitas (Conor Oberst alum) is signing to Park the Van records (Dr. Dog, Broncho, Cayucas) and releasing a new album at the beginning of 2020. To announce the signing, Ghettoblaster has the pleasure of sharing a teaser video of Freitas (who is also a former Thrasher photographer and avid skater) skating around LA with some snippets of new music from the album playing. 

For the unfamiliar, Freitas has released four records, almost all of which were produced entirely by him (he plays every instrument). Stylistically, his output will resonate with fans of Paul Simon and Elliot Smith. His fourth album, Sun Down, has released by Conor Oberst’s Team Love Records. He also performed two of his own songs on Conor Oberst and the Mustic Valley Band’s debut album Outer South. He’s also toured as a part of Broken Bells.
