There are moments when you’re struck by what may be construed as ethereal minimalism, but it’s pieced together with a larger than life wall of guitar sound that completely enthralls and captivates. That moment would be when Pennsylvania’s Stargazer Lilies “Living Work Of Art,” the band’s single off the forthcoming Occabot (Rad Cult) out November 1st, begins to play. You’re not sure what you’re going to get once the staticky noise opens the track but then the duo bombards with gorgeous melodies and a thick and gooey bassline.

The album was produced by Tom Fec, aka TOBACCO, known for his work with Black Moth Super Rainbow, and also signed the band to his Rad Cult imprint. Fec agreed to work on the band’s third album and urged Stargazer Lilies’ John Cep and Kim Field to dive straight off the deep end, which is exactly what they do here.
