In spite of everything happening around us on a second by second basis, we must remember to not take everything seriously.  The duo of Rachel Aggs and Eilidh Rodgers (who make up Sacred Paws), constantly remind themselves of this mantra and uphold it without fail.  Their music alone elevates them to keeping things light-hearted and free, incorporating a infectious blend of indie pop, world rhythms, and colorful horns.

Sacred Paws are about to drop their newest album Run Around the Sun on May 31 via Merge and Rock Action.  “How Far”, the latest single, sways with a breezy feel that fits snuggly in the duo’s moniker.  Aggs had been working on the riff for a period of time in hopes to go about doing something a little different.  “It was sort of the first song we’ve done in a while that was carefully done, in that way,” Aggs said.
