Chicago-based three-piece Close Kept bring something special to the party frolicking on roads in genres that may have been walked on before, but the band chooses to walk the dirt road on the side of it to create its own path.
The band is made up of Scott Hartge, Loc Tran, and Charles Wynne. What a ruckus these three make! Close Kept plays with a number of elements including harmony, dynamics, shifting rhythms, as well as great melodies blending in warm indie rock sounds and heavy emotional leanings. According to the band, their songs are, “Centered around navigating life’s day-to-day situations. Better Yet is the group’s debut full length written and recorded between 2015 and 2018.”
Today the band premieres the title track and you can’t help but feel the clear genuine sound of the band. Better Yet drops on cassette November 9th via Flesh & Bone Records.
Cassette preorders will be available here.
