Buck Meek has recently announced that he will be releasing an upcoming solo album. Released on May 18 via Austin-based label Keeled Scales, Meek’s self-titled album will undoubtedly showcase his exquisite songwriting that has charmed fans of his other project, the indie rock darlings Big Thief. Throughout the 10 songs, Meek’s experiences and adventures in life will shine in the form of various characters and tales.
To give you a little taste of what to expect with Meek’s upcoming album, he has released the single “Cannonball!” The velvety tones of Meek ooze around instrumentals that offer a boozy, bluesy feel.
The musician also will be embarking upon a handful of shows across the U.S., which also include some shows in support of SXSW.
