Altre di B’s Miranda!, which sees release via Black Candy Records on October 6, is a concept album and a tribute to the homonym book written by Quirico Filopanti in 1858 containing the first theory of time zones. As a consequence the album is all about geography, cultural anthropology, maps and airports.
No strangers to geography, since 2005, Altre di B has played hundreds of gigs all over Europe, carrying around a lively and energetic sound. After bringing the second album Sport to Sziget Festival, Ypsigrock Festival as support band of Alt-J and Primal Scream, and to the West Coast of the United States for three DIY tours, Altre di B performed at Primavera Sound and SXSW Festival presenting the forthcoming album, where the punk spirit meets down tempo groove.
Over the years Altre di B have been the opening act of fames international artists such as Eddie Vedder, Glen Hansard, Foals, The Nieghbourhood, Dub Fx, James Walsh, Of Montreal, Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks, Alt-J, Primal Scream, Django Django, Shabazz Palaces, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Frightened rabbit, Pete and the Pirates, Atlas Losing Grip and Damo Suzuki.
Today, Ghettoblaster has the pleasure of sharing the Italian band’s latest track, “Salgado,” which bears salient similarities to High Society-era Enon. Enjoy it below.
