Celebration Guns hare The Me That Used To Be in full ahead of the EP’s release this Friday, April 8. The Phoenix, AZ-based quartet’s new EP is a jagged blast of math rock and indie pop charm.
Celebration Guns, named after a Stars song from their album Set Yourself on Fire, mix influences from mid 2000s indie rock, math pop, and pop-punk together for their own bright and optimistic sound of big hooks and tangled chord progressions. It’s a great EP from the Phoenix based quartet who have recently supported everyone from Rob Crow and Woozy to Craft Spells and Tweak Bird. It’s safe to say that Celebration Guns are one of Arizona’s brightest new bands and The Me That Used To Be should help them grow further toward a national audience.
