Tel-Aviv shoegaze/dream pop trio Vaadat Charigim announce their sophomore album Sinking As A Stone, due May 19 on Burger Records / Anova Music. Today the band shares album standout “Hashiamum Shokea.” Stream the track over at The FADER and on SoundCloud.
Since their inception in 2012, the band has been very influential on the Israeli rock scene, due to their widely covered debut LP, and their rapidly growing international following.
The band has won critical acclaim internationally despite their songs being sung entirely in Hebrew – an unprecedented achievement for an Israeli rock band. Their distinctive sound derives from their unique mixture of local Israeli rock from the 80s and 90s with international Indie rock from the same era, as well as in their insistency on the Hebrew language, with all its aesthetic and rhythmic oddities.
