Southwest Ohio is steeped in funk history – Zapp, Faze-O, Bootsy Collins, Slave, The Ohio Players, the list goes on.  Thankfully, that history goes on too and few do it better than Freekbass.
With the help of producer and engineer, Duane Lundy (My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, Ben Sollee) Freek’s new album Everybody’s Feelin’ Real – available to stream and buy at his bandcamp – meshes these influences with later influences like Bowie and Dr. Dre.
