Pittsburgh, PA instrumental rockers Broughton’s Rules have entered the studio to record their sophomore album for Relapse Records. The band, featuring current and former members of cult math rockers Don Caballero, is recording at Sonelab Studios in Easthampton, MA with noted engineer Justin Pizzoferrato (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., Chelsea Light Moving). The album is expected to be released this Fall via Relapse. Guitarist Jeff Ellsworth comments that the new material is “appropriate music to listen to while sipping herbal tea during the apocalypse.”
The band formed in 2010 and released their debut record Bounty Hunter 1853 via Relapse in 2011.
