Have you been watching the A.V. Club’s new “Pioneering” series? So

This week’s episode–which marks the third installment of
“Pioneering”–features Those Darlins playing Dolly Parton’s classic
“Jolene”, recorded live at Studio B in Nashville, Tennessee (where
Dolly herself recorded many hits). The band also discusses all things Dolly–as we all should.
Each of the “Pioneering” episodes focuses on the stories of groundbreaking American musicians, as told by current-day artists. A new “Pioneering” episode will run every Monday through May 26th. The series is hosted by critically-acclaimed singer/songwriter Eef Barzelay.
