After announcing the release of the NIN new EP Add Violence, releasing July 21, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross share the new lyric video for “Less Than.” The track is signature Nine Inch Nails while remaining relevant. The sonic palette expands significantly from Not The Actual Events, incorporating elements of beauty into the dark dissonance.

The Black Queen, the Los Angeles-based trio featuring Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan), Josh Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv, Nine Inch Nails) and Steven Alexander, preview music from their upcoming debut album, Fever Daydream, via Rolling Stone with “The End Where We Start” video.

The digital single is available now via iTunes. Fever Daydream, which is slated for a late 2015 release, was written and recorded while the band cocooned in a Skid Row-adjacent, downtown Los Angeles loft. The Black Queen produced the forthcoming album with Justin Meldal-Johnsen (M83, The Naked and Famous) executive producing.

Natasha Kmeto has shared a sultry cover of the Nine Inch Nails track, “The Only Time,” which is now available for download over at FACT. Natasha had been performing the cover during her recent North American tour opening for TV On The Radio. “I tend to lust very hard,” she says. “The lyric on ‘The Only Time’ captures the helplessness and desperation inside a lust like that so perfectly. Trent Reznor always hits the nail on the head when it comes to dark, raw sexual expression and I wanted to pay homage by covering one of my favorite NIN tracks.”

Natasha Kmeto will be releasing a new album in 2015 on Dave Sitek’s label, Federal Prism, which she recently talked to Resident Advisor about.
