Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders share "To Keep And To Be Kept"

Fat Possum Records has shared “To Keep And To Be Kept,” a new track from Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders’ upcoming album Playmates, due February 24. The track, which features guest vocals from Sharon Van Etten, premiered via NPR, who noted that “Ladder’s voice has a dusky richness to it that rivals the likes of Nick Cave and Mark Lanegan.”
This new post comes after much early praise for Playmates, with NPR naming Jack Ladder a “Musician You’ll Tell Your Friends About In 2015” and Buzzfeed declaring him among Australia’s “Very Best of 2014,” praising his ability to shift from an “’80s inspired, rhythmic tone at times, and a dark, thrashing rock n’ roll at others,” while Stereogum recently lauded his “haunting baritone.” “To Keep And To Be Kept” is available to stream or embed HERE.
Following on the heels of the announcement of their status as official SXSW 2015 artists, the group has announced a show at Rough Trade in Brooklyn, NY on March 26, 2015. A U.S. tour is soon to be announced, as are their SXSW performance dates.
