Bad Bad Hats share "Fight Song," ready LP for Afternoon Records

Minneapolis-natives Bad Bad Hats will release their debut full-length, Psychic Reader, on July 17 via Afternoon Records (Yellow Ostrich, Haley Bonar).
The band previously released gritty garage single “Shame” and wistful sunset-perfect “Psychic Reader.” Revealed today by NPR, the beach-y “Fight Song” builds to an explosion of echoing howls, driving bass, and anthemic, empowering lyrics.

Psychic Reader is comprised of experimental beats, growling guitars, and catchy pop melodies with vocals that are both dreamy and strikingly deep. Bad Bad Hats are Kerry Alexander (vocals, guitar, wisdom), Chris Hoge (drums, courage), and Noah Boswell (bass, power). Bolstered by experimental touches from producer Brett Bullion (Poliça, Bon Iver), the indie rock trio take a refreshingly rebellious approach with lyrics that challenge gender conventions. With Psychic Reader, the band has created an artistically honest and widely accessible work.
